Accounts and Cloud
PacedMind's two plans: One device, free and without an account, and PacedMind Cloud, a subscription with an account, a 7-day free trial and the same data on all your computers and in the web app.
PacedMind works with or without an account. The plan decides where the data lives and where it can be used.
The two plans
| One device | Cloud | |
|---|---|---|
| Account | None | A PacedMind account; two-factor setup can wait |
| Where the data lives | On this computer, in PacedMind's data folder | In the account |
| Where it can be used | The desktop app on this computer | The desktop app on all your computers, and the web app in the browser |
| Agent sessions | Started on this computer | Started on this computer, or on one of your other computers by asking it |
| Cost | Free | A subscription, paid monthly or yearly, after a 7-day free trial |
Prices depend on the country. They are listed on the PacedMind website. Paid yearly, a year costs 10 months' worth.
One device
The desktop app keeps everything on the computer it runs on, and needs no account and no payment. The first time PacedMind opens, it shows the sign-in screen: select Continue without an account to use this plan. See First launch and Where your data lives.
Cloud
With PacedMind Cloud, the tasks, plans, calendar and sessions are stored in your account, not on the computer. Every computer signed in to the account and the web app show the same data. Images that agents attach to their reports stay on the computer they were saved on.
Sign in with your email and password, or with Continue with Google. After confirming your email, planning and MCP connections are available without setting up two-factor sign-in.
Select Set up 2FA in Settings → Security when you want to start sessions or control your computers. Set up later returns to the app without enabling it. After enabling it, sign out and sign in again with your code to activate computer access. Reconnect an MCP connection made without two-factor sign-in if it needs to request sessions or folders on computers.
Once two-factor sign-in is enabled, each sign-in requires a code. Add authenticator in Settings → Security adds a second authenticator as a backup.
Signed in to the desktop app on a computer that kept data without an account, Settings → Data offers Move to account in the This computer row. It works on an account without projects or tasks, replaces the account's areas with the ones from this computer, adds this computer's preferences to the account's, except those it has already, and leaves a copy on this computer.
The free trial
A new account gets 7 days of Cloud free, counted from sign-up. It needs no card. Settings → Plan shows the days left, and in the trial's last three days a banner above every page says when it ends.
Subscribing during the trial keeps the rest of it: the first payment comes when the trial ends. See Subscribe to Cloud.
A trial that ends without a subscription leaves the account read-only: everything in it can still be read, deleted or moved to a computer, but not changed. See When Cloud ends.
In this section
- Subscribe to Cloud: Settings → Plan, choosing a country and monthly or yearly, switching between them, and Manage billing for the card, invoices and canceling.
- When Cloud ends: what a read-only account can still do, subscribing again, moving the data to a computer, and deleting the account.
