Subscribe to Cloud
Settings → Plan: the trial or subscription, choosing a country's price and monthly or yearly, subscribing, switching between monthly and yearly, and Manage billing for the card, invoices and canceling.
Subscribing, switching and canceling all start in Settings → Plan. The section is there only when you're signed in to an account, in the desktop app and in the web app.
The section's note says what Cloud gives and that a year costs 10 months' worth. The card is entered on the payment page, never in PacedMind: PacedMind never sees it.
The Plan row
The Plan row says where the account stands:
| The row reads | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Free trial, 3 days left (until 2026-10-05) | The free trial, with the days left and the day it ends. On its last day: Free trial, ends today. |
| Cloud, paid monthly, renews 2026-10-28 | Subscribed, with the day of the next payment. paid yearly for a yearly subscription. |
| Cloud until 2026-10-28, then read-only | The subscription was canceled. Cloud keeps working until that day. |
| The last payment didn't go through; the card is tried again | A payment failed. Cloud keeps working while the card is tried again. |
| Read-only: subscribe to keep working in Cloud | The trial or the subscription is over. See When Cloud ends. |
| Cloud, included with your account | Cloud without a subscription. The section has nothing else. |
Subscribe
Before subscribing, during the trial or once Cloud has ended, the section has Prices for, Pay and Subscribe.
- Open Settings → Plan. The Subscribe button on the banner goes there too.
- Under Prices for, pick the country whose price to pay. It starts at the country guessed from the time zone of the computer or browser.
- Under Pay, choose Monthly or Yearly. The price for that country shows next to it, for a month or for a year. The prices are also on the PacedMind website.
- Select Subscribe. The payment page opens: in the desktop app, in the browser; in the web app, in the same tab, which returns to Settings afterwards.
- Enter the card on the payment page and confirm there.
Once the payment goes through, PacedMind shows the new plan by itself, such as Cloud, paid monthly, renews 2026-10-28, also in the desktop app when the payment was made in the browser.
Subscribing during the free trial keeps the rest of it: the first payment comes when the trial ends.
When the payment page can't be opened, PacedMind says Billing can't be reached right now. Try again in a moment.
The Billing row
Once subscribed, the Billing row replaces Prices for and Pay.
Switch between monthly and yearly
While the subscription runs, the Billing row has Switch to yearly, or Switch to monthly for a yearly subscription. It asks first, such as Pay yearly from now on? What's left of this period counts toward the new one., and then confirms You pay yearly from now on. The payment page doesn't open for this, and the subscription keeps the price of the country it was bought in.
The switch isn't offered after canceling, or while a failed payment is tried again.
Manage billing
Manage billing opens the billing page, the same way Subscribe opens the payment page. There:
- change the card;
- see the invoices;
- cancel the subscription.
An account that has paid before keeps Manage billing after its subscription has ended, for its invoices.
Cancel
Cancel in Manage billing. Cloud stays until the end of the period already paid for, and the Plan row reads Cloud until 2026-10-28, then read-only, with that period's last day. After it, the account is read-only. See When Cloud ends.
An account whose subscription would renew can't be deleted: cancel first. See Delete the account.
When a payment fails
When a payment doesn't go through, a banner above every page says The last payment for PacedMind Cloud didn't go through. Cloud keeps working while the card is tried again. Its Update payment button opens the billing page, where the card can be changed. The Plan row reads The last payment didn't go through; the card is tried again in the meantime.
If the card keeps failing, the subscription ends and the account becomes read-only.
Accounts and Cloud
PacedMind's two plans: One device, free and without an account, and PacedMind Cloud, a subscription with an account, a 7-day free trial and the same data on all your computers and in the web app.
When Cloud ends
When the trial or the subscription is over, the account is read-only: what still works, the banners, subscribing again, moving the data to this computer, and deleting the account.
